Making 2026 the year of "YES"

Happy 2026 everyone! I am welcoming 2026 with excitement. The past year was filled with extremes. There were some fantastic highs, but we had a significant loss in our family in November, which, although expected, continues to be an adjustment.

One of the highs was inspired by the 2024 reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Did you catch any of that coverage last December? Paris has always been one of my favorite cities. My husband, Glenn, and I returned last February as we both really wanted to see Notre Dame. That 2019 fire was just so terrible... We met some friends (former neighbors) who live in Versailles and toured Notre Dame together. Wow...it's light, bright, but retains all of the beauty. During our visit (we actually went back the following day) and walked through again, I really attention to the side chapels which are all beautiful and unique...St. Genevieve is the patron saint of Paris (didn't know that) and Joan of Arc...the teenager of legends (my term) is the patron saint of France. Which brings me to our year of "YES".

We're introducing a new card featuring a quote of Joan's, "Go forward bravely." And we added "Say...Yes." I suppose it's rather nervy to add to a quote from Joan of Arc...but it struck me that sometimes we all need a push to say "YES" and to make a decision to "Go forward bravely." I need that nudge...Maybe it's doing something that gets you out of your comfort zone, as simple as trying a new food, joining a new organization to meet new people, looking for a new job or home...I needed that nudge to go to Paris (I REALLY hate to fly) and need it frequently when making decisions for She Said It -- it's scary and a lot of work (but a lot of fun too) running a business...Maybe you know someone who needs that nudge? Or maybe this is card that you keep just for yourself?

I hope 2026 is off to a terrific start for you and that each of you "Go forward bravely." And, say "YES".

Kathryn
